What are the limitations of this ad campaign and how can I improve it?

by admin on Nov.25, 2009, under Other - Advertising & Marketing

I am starting a new business venture and my ad campaign will be a grassroots type campaign at first. By that I mean a door to door flyer campaign. I am wondering what are the limitations of this type of campaign, but also how can I improve it. I plan to just pound the pavement and hand deliver flyers. I also have a fully functional website with more information and some cool flash presentations, pricing info, etc..

I’m just wondering should I cast a really wide net, in different types of neighborhoods, or just really bombard my local area? Also for a mail campaign, what is a good number of homes to hit? Is 500 enough? Should I do like 100 per neighborhood? Just curious if anyone has any experience with this. This is a big metropolitan city in the Midwest.
thanks

first of all you have to understand your target group, the ones that you want to talk to.
also remember about your resources in terms of : time, money, hr, etc.
think about objectives you want to achieve.
    planning and controling.
the up mentioned should be related with your campaign

It’s a good start in my opinion.
What is enough? As many as you can do at least three times. Don’t just drop one flyer. A week or so later do it again. Your message takes time and repetition.

I would also layer in some Google Local Ads for the area you are targeting:

    eddie is absolutely right.

Firstly it all depends on the product you are selling.

secondly it depends on your target market.

Thirdly your objectives in terms of marketing share and revenues

Fourthly it depends on your budget.

So if you could provide me with those details i can help you.
I shall be happy to hear from you any time. my email is
