If Hillary is indeed staying in the race with hopes to damae Obama for her own 2012 campaign?

by admin on Feb.06, 2010, under Elections

Is it possible that she might not ever end this campaign?

Will she just keep running all the way through January 2013?

She could add Ralph Nadar to her cabinet, he’s in it for the long haul too.

If she loses the primary, I fully expect her to try to damage Obama’s candidacy, but not overtly. Count on leaks from unnamed sources while she portrays herself as a loyal Democrat.

To actively campaign against him after the primary would damage her in the next campaign. Having Obama be the sitting President would eliminate her chances in 2012. Her path to the White House is to win now or prevent Obama from being elected.

Interesting question, whether she is putting the needs of herself before the Democratic party and the country.

She could still win, and so she would have to strike a deal with Obama in my mind before she drops out, but I can imagine she will take a fringe position if Obama were to win the Election, at least for 3 years. It would look bad on her if she was trying to condemn him from the second he got into the oval office.
