Edwards vs. Coulter = Campaign Cash.Should Edwards be grateful to Ann Coulter?
by admin on Mar.11, 2010, under Politics
ABC News’ Raelyn Johnson Reports: With a dash for cash as the second quarter fundraising deadline closes in this Saturday, personal political attacks may be turning into a fundraising opportunity for the Edwards campaign.
Following the war of words between Elizabeth Edwards and political pundit and author Ann Coulter Tuesday night on MSNBC’s “Hardball”, the Edwards campaign is turning the controversy into an opportunity to fill their campaign coffers.
In an appearance on Monday’s ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Ann Coulter said, “Oh yeah, I wouldn’t insult gays by comparing them to John Edwards. That would be mean, but about the same time — you know — Bill Maher was not joking and saying he wished [Vice President] **** Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack. So I’ve learned my lesson. If I’m going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he has been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”
“This is just a taste of the filth that the right-wing machine is gearing up to throw at us. And now that it’s begun, we have a choice: Do we sit back, or do we fight back? I say we fight. Help us raise $100,000 in “Coulter Cash”, wrote David Bonior, Edwards campaign manager, in an email to supporters.
The campaign also tried to turn controversy into cash last week after The New York Times ran a story about him using his poverty center for political publicity.
How do you think Obama’s campaign can recover from last nights stinging defeat by McCain?

Does anyone feel these candidates are not educated on the needs of Americans?
by admin on Feb.25, 2010, under Politics
We have a reality out here in the real world with drought and conditions that aren’t perfect. Do you think anyone running is aware of these conditions and how they need to be changed? How about gas prices and alternative vehicles being manufactured? How about food sources for the coming winter? How about a census of how many persons live in America? How about education ? I could go on and on and on about how this government is ineffective. How about you Can you think of three issues that need to be addressed in America? Will you write congress and bring these to the attention of our government officials so as we may have them addressed. Will you be an effective part of change? Use the computor email your representative with a thought process campaign to assist America. To iniate changes on a level that is relevant to citizens in the US. Will you help? Will you write something that needs to be addressed that is not. Drought? Farming and Food issues? Education? Crime? Help reorganize!!!

at fight the smears, there is a link to “report smears” & forward email to “watchdog@barackobama.com”?
by admin on Feb.07, 2010, under Politics
I know this is something that is pretty old and has been there since the campaign, but who runs this site? do those emails being forwarded create a conflict of interest now that barack obama is in the whitehouse and is not supposed to collect data on private citizens by law and by law cannot get rid of certain correspondence including email. this is why he had to take down the flag@whitehouse.gov thing. how is he still getting around this questionable practice and why are we letting him? also who actually *gets* those emails and do they work in the obama administration? are they being paid by *our* tax dollars? does anyone have this info?
Why is MoveOn.org BEGGING FOR MONEY in almost every email?

The most recent email from MoveOn.org says …

From: “Tom Matzzie, MoveOn.org Political Action”
Subject: Yes! Let’s take the election national.
Dear MoveOn member,
“The player who changed the dynamics of the race is MoveOn.” That’s what one newspaper recently wrote about the election work we’ve done together.
The MoveOn-member-powered campaign is changing the landscape in key individual races. Now we want to change the dynamic of the entire election. To do that, we’re looking for 10,000 of us to become monthly contributors today for the first time at $15 only until the election.

By the way, the “one newspaper” they’re referring to is The Hartford Advocate, a liberal newspaper with such poor circulation they have to give it away. Info on the paper can be found at … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartford_Advocate
Liberals are HILARIOUS!
“professor” … it rises to the level of begging when every goddamn email twists into a solicitation. I realize that MoveOn is so irrelevant these days that they don’t have any cash, while Republican cadidates have so much cash donations they don’t know where to spend it all, my point is specifically that if MoveOn is so relevant and popular it should have to beg for cash so often.

Should elected officials use private email to do state business? ?
by admin on Jan.30, 2010, under Politics
From Alaska Daily News:
“[Governor] Palin routinely uses a private Yahoo e-mail account to conduct state business. Others in the governor’s office sometimes use personal e-mail accounts too.”
Even before the McCain campaign plucked Palin from Alaska, a controversy was brewing over e-mails in the governor’s office. Was the administration trying to get around the public records law through broad exemptions or private e-mail accounts? Activists, still fighting to obtain hundreds of e-mails that were withheld from public records requests earlier this year, say that’s what it looks like.”

Gov. Sarah Palin is using flimsy grounds for withholding potentially embarrassing e-mails from a political supporter-turned-critic.
Former Republican candidate Andree McLeod has appealed the governor’s decision to withhold or redact some e-mails and other state records. She’s seeking the records in a dispute about the Palin administration’s recruiting and hiring decisions.”

What do you think: Is it okay for state officials to use private email accounts to conduct state business?
Democrats Hack Palin Yahoo Email Account?
by admin on Jan.21, 2010, under Politics
The person indicted for the hacking into the email accounts of Palin is the son of a Democrat State Representative, Tennessee. Representative Kernell.
They sent out pictures of the family of Palin , telephone numbers and many other personal things. They changed her password and then gave the new password on the internet to others to invade Palin’s account,
How low can this election campaign get? What has Obama got to say about Democats doing such things to get him elected.
When you try to destroy a candidates family and children nothing is safe.
God Save America
A number of the comments seem to indicate a sensitive point is being addressed.
Anyone, Republican or Democrat who violates the law should be punished. For a Democrat elected official to use the child to commit the crime may say even more.
