Can a local Mayor in Ohio, for example, distribute campaign literature or any campaign material from his office in City Hall? If not please reference whatever laws apply.

What was the collective name of the 5 senators that collected substantial, illegal campaign donations from a banker in the 1980’s?

To get the scoop from both perspectives, I signed up at McCain’s and Obama’s sites and got email from both for months now.

Since the whole thing with sara palin has become top story I wanted to know is this common to spend campaign money on clothes and things of that sort… If so can anyone give examples of politicians that have done this?

A Consultant is threatening ‘legal action’ against my friend. With his new business endeavor, he decided to email prospective clients. During his email campaign, he accidently included a distribution list in his email from a previous place of employment. The consultant threatening legal action noticed the emails and phoned my friend saying he was going to speak to a lawyer.

Upon recognizing the error, my friend immediately emailed this distribution list (6 hours later) indicating that they were not the intended recipients and appologized for the error. My friend signed a contract with this past consultant to not solicit his clients in the future.

It happened once in error. Is my friend subject to legal action in this matter?

Does he not understand that it is illegal to do so? When he first got into politics, Tony Rezko invented straw donors to give him campaign money, and he just never stopped. Is Obama ethically challenged?
