PETA’s latest campaign?

Peta’s latest campaign is one against the Canadian Priminister, to stop the slaughter of many seals in Canada
The whole world reacted with horror to 2007’s images of ice floes bloodied with the carcasses of hundreds of thousands of baby seals whose skins had been ripped from their backs. The gruesome scene will soon be repeated again this year. Caring individuals like you need to speak out and demand a permanent end to the cruel seal hunt.
visit http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/ukseals08 here you can watch the video showing the horrific cruelty the seals endure and can also send a email to the Canadian president showing your support.
It takes 2 minutes out of your life but could add on years to theese poor defenseless creatures.

They are apparently having a large national campaign. Their web site has the most popular products out there including the new Honda Insight, Yankee Tickets opening day, and the Michael Jackson dream package, retail they say close to $12,000. All auction go up by one penny. I’d appreciate any opinions.
Given Obama’s masterful campaign, particularly his use of the Internet, do you see a new age in communications?
by admin on Sep.04, 2009, under Current Events
Like him or not, Obama ran one hell of a campaign. Two years ago, would you ever have imagined a man with the name of Barack Hussein Obama would be elected President? Yet he ran a cohesive, intelligent campaign that used the internet masterfully. Now, word is that Obama will deliver a weekly “radio” address similar to the fireside chats given by FDR – and that they will also be broadcast over the Internet. It looks as though Obama will take his Presidency directly to the people – bypassing the media altogether. What does this say about the media, particularly outlets like Fox News, and how they will represent politics in the future?
Interesting take, Misty. I tend to think of it as WE THE PEOPLE bought the election. I, along with my family, my friends and neighbors were all part of that $650 million. Not Comcast, not GlaxoSmithKline, not Exxon.
