Should churches lose their tax exemption status for financially supporting a political campaign?

by admin on Feb.08, 2010, under Civic Participation

In the 2008 election the mormon (and other) churches financially supported the “Yes on 8″ campaign. Considering the laws separating church and state, shouldn’t these churches lose their tax exempt status?

Are there groups, or ways to support the Hillary Clinton 2008 campaign in Western Australia?

by admin on Jan.01, 2010, under Civic Participation

Similar to the way you can assist campaigns in America, is it possible to support or aid the Hillary Clinton campaign for 2008 from Australia?
You all ****. I’m not even choosing a best answer. I didn’t ask for your own personal political affiliations.

Hillary continues to be mechanical and calculating running a negative campaign, would she make it?

by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Civic Participation

Sen. Hillary, as usual, continues to contradict herself throughout her campaign. Her inconsistent record and crescending equivocal rethoric weakens her platform to the point that transparency has completely faded. However, there is hope for change- to make history, to move from the past to the future, to unite America as a whole and bring our troops back, we can make change happen via strong leaders, support Barack Obama.

If you volunteer to help a campaign what do you do besides calling people for money?

by admin on Dec.17, 2009, under Civic Participation

I’d like to help a candidate get elected and volunteer, but I don’t want to call people asking them for money for the candidate. What else do volunteers for a campaign do?

How many people are involved or support the Brady Campaign to Stop Gun Violence?

by admin on Nov.26, 2009, under Civic Participation

I am writing a paper on the NRA and the Brady Campaign, and I can’t find any sort of estimate of how many people are involved with the Brady Campaign. It doesn’t have to be exact–for example, the NRA states on their website, “Nearly four million members”.

Please be sure to tell me what source your answer comes from.

Thanks!

which campaign slogan do you like best?

by admin on Nov.10, 2009, under Civic Participation

the real question is… which slogan do you think the average joe would react positively to if they were to see it on a white T-shirt, written very carefully and neatly in tulip paint….
~It’s Time to Take OUR Country Back. Vote NO to Greed, Coruption, and Lies.
~Representing We The People through Honesty, Integrity and Constitutionality
~Pissing off government since 1978.
~We Have About As Much Chance of Electing ___In 2008 As the Patriots Did Of Overthrowing Their Government in 1776… And For The Same Reasons
~Remember the Constitution?
~Keep Email Untaxed
~Protect Our Borders, Not Iraq’s
~_____for president! He promises to leave you alone!
~What part of “shall not be infringed” does your candidate not understand?
~Ignore your rights and they will go away.

How to start a campaign for peace? Like what do you guys believe must be done to get peace?

by admin on Oct.31, 2009, under Civic Participation

Well I want to start a campaign for peace in the world. Also in case you guys are wondering this has nothing to do with religion because to me religion has some part of the reason why there isn’t peace. Also I’m not an atheist. I am a catholic, but I don’t believe in some of the catholic beliefs. Well the reason why i think religion has a part in not having peace is because of well think about it…..
The Muslims **** the Jews.
The catholic church actually force Mexicans to follow the Catholic religion.
Also there is a lot of corruption in religions.
I do believe though that every1 has the right to practice religion, but they shouldn’t shove it down our throats.
So then what do you guys think will bring more peace to the world?
I also believe legalizing pot will bring more peace. I believe this because then there will be less drug wars in Mexico and in the United States. There will also be less pot users doing crimes like robbing people for money to buy it.
Also I don’t smoke pot, but I think it can really make a lot of difference if it was legal.

so please give me some of your views to have peace.

Also I am trying to start an organization for peace and yes I know this is like nearly impossible, but I believe it can be achieved or it can bring more peace into the world. So if you would like to join this just email on here or just tell me when you answer.
also here is the theme song for this organization.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-NRriHlLUk

or it could be this song

thanks.
Actually feeding and sheltering the homeless is also apart of this.
There are other things that are part of this.
I just didn’t want to explain everything.
Well then here is the web site though.
it’s not the permanent web site, but it works for now.
I hope you guys do join. There is nothing much to it yet, but just give me some time.

that’s the web site.

What is a good way to contribute to a political campaign with dignity?

by admin on Oct.18, 2009, under Civic Participation

I have an image in my head of working in a political campaign– a zealous, proselytizing kind of vibe that I get from it. I would like to support a candidate for an upcoming election whose voice I respect. What is a good way to contribute to a political campaign while not trying to cram something down others’ throats? And if this is a wrong way to look at the whole thing, please disabuse me of my point of view! Thanks.

What are Some Ideas as to How to Recruit Volunteers for a Political Campaign?

by admin on Oct.13, 2009, under Civic Participation

I am currently working on a political campaign. In the past, we were able to pay our election day workers to go door-to-door for our Get-Out-The-Vote effort. That is not the case this year.

Normally we were able to recruit High School and/or College Students to help us out. But since we’re not paying this year, I doubt we’ll be able to entice them to work for us.

What are some suggestions as to how/where we can recruit able bodies to walk for 4 hours going door-to-door for the campaign?

Will you email your Representative DAILY?

by admin on Sep.01, 2009, under Civic Participation

I have been emailing my senators and Congressman as well as the leaders of the house and senate everyday with this message…

“Dear ______,

So did you start the IMPEACHMENT process today for Bush and Cheney? If not WHY NOT? Get your **** in gear…time is wasting and the Republic is in grave danger from enemies within!

Are you one of the enemies of the people or will you stand up for US? There is NO OTHER ISSUE you should even be thinking about right now. IMPEACHMENT FIRST or all your other “work” will be a total waste of time.

WARNING: If you don’t get on this issue RIGHT NOW you can FORGET your career in politics…PERIOD! If you do not move forward with IMPEACHMENT NOW “we the people” will know you are nothing more than a bought and paid for corporate criminal and YOU may face a lawsuit.

DO YOUR JOB FOR THE PEOPLE!”

Will you grow some hair and join me in this email campaign?

You can find your rep here…
http://www.house.gov/

and your senator here…
http://www.senate.gov
IT’S NOT ABOUT BUSH!!!

You Republicans and others remember the abuse of power that Bush now enjoys with impunity will be INHERITED by the next President.

Also there are at least ten international crimes (torture, kidnap etc.) that this president could be Impeached for…hell he’d have been executed at Nuremberg in 1945
The first 10 answers show exactly what is wrong with this country…it is full of LEMMINGS and SHEEP
