I seflf published my new book, “How To Love And Be Loved Forever”?

by admin on Feb.22, 2010, under Books & Authors

I do not have the money my publisher needs from me to effectively market my book. For example $700 for returnability program, $2400 for marketing campaign. It is available in online bookstores such as amazon, borders, barnes and noble. What innovative ways can I use to get my book to the public?

Want to write a book to help women but scared to go public because of my dark past?

by admin on Jun.01, 2009, under Books & Authors

Well, in my dating life I have made lots of mistakes. I have done some pretty risque things and even thought about doing other things, going so far as to engage in dialogue with men about doing some illegal and immoral things (but not actually doing any of them).

I was able to successfully keep the whole sordid truth away from my friends and family and I feel that although this is all in the past, if they knew the truth it would break their hearts and alienate them from me. Now I want to help women find a man by avoiding the pitfalls I have fallen into, and I do feel that my experience with men, good and bad, make me a great person to help other people. I have learned lessons the hard way and have the battle scars to prove it. Eventually I changed my heart and my life and soon after I found a great relationship and that man became my husband.

My problem is I fear that once I start helping people with my book or my speeches or whatever, there will be people coming out of the woodwork to talk about my “past” in an effort to discredit me or gain some fame or money, but the thing I fear most is that my loved ones may possibly become alienated from me. I feel like I have to choose between helping other women and protecting myself from possible public scrutiny and possibly embarassing my family and friends.

It may turn out that the book comes out and no one cares about the past, but if the book has any measure of success, I fear that a backlash and smear campaign is not far behind. In this day and age, if people can dig up anything from your past they will, and it will be all over the internet, on blogs, in email, all over radio and TV in a matter of hours. I am not sure what is the best route to take here. WHat would you do in this situation?

Who wrote the poem “First they came for the Jews”?

by admin on Apr.16, 2009, under Books & Authors

I fight for the equal rights of GLBTQ people (and animal rights but that’s a different story) and this poem holds special meaning for this issue in today’s world. So I would like to know who wrote this poem.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Also if you would like to help you can go to the Human Rights Campaign web-site. Also “V for Vendetta” is a good movie to watch as it deals with this issue along side others.
